The Ruaha National Park is famous for its large population of elephants, with about 10,000 roaming the park. It is also frequented by birdwatchers, with 436 species identified of an estimated total of 475.
Guided walks are available to fully appreciate the sights and sounds of the wild. This national park does not often get crowded and offers a more exclusive safari, in one of the best places in East Africa to encounter wild dog and unusual antelope species such as greater kudu, roan and sable. Ruaha is superb for spotting big game, including many prides of lion.
