Mikumi National Park by SGR

An overnight escape from Dar es Salaam — SGR train to Morogoro, then game drives among elephants, giraffe and lions at Mikumi.

Mikumi National Park is well known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater kudus, wildebeest, roan and sable antelopes. Predators found in the park include lions, leopards, African wild dogs and black-backed jackals. Reached by SGR train and road, it makes a genuine safari that fits into a single night away.
  1. Day 1: Dar es Salaam — Morogoro — Mikumi — Depart from Dar es Salaam by SGR train to Morogoro. Upon arrival at Morogoro SGR Station, you will be met by our representative and transferred by road to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, proceed to Mikumi Wildlife Lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in Mikumi National Park. After the game drive, return to Mikumi Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight.
  2. Day 2: Mikumi — Dar es Salaam — After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. Return to Mikumi Wildlife Lodge for lunch, followed by departure for your return journey to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, drop-off will be arranged in the city centre. End of our services.
